Convenient charging
Charging with your Volkswagen ID. model is now even more convenient: with Plug & Charge, the new standard for convenient charging. All you need is the ID. software 3.1 or higher, the We Connect ID. app plus a Plug & Charge-enabled We Charge rate. Then you simply pull up at the Plug & Charge charging station, activate Plug & Charge via the app and in the vehicle and plug in the charging cable. The registration, charging and invoicing are all automatic. Then you continue your drive and relaxation.

As an option, the new ID.3 comes with a highlight from the very first glance: the innovative IQ.LIGHT. The matrix technology enables you drive with the main beams permanently switched on without blinding other road users. An elegant ribbon of light runs between the attractive LED-matrix-headlights and the Volkswagen logo. When you approach your vehicle, the headlights briefly light up as if they were winking at you, making the ID. appear almost human.
The striking front features are just as essential at the rear: The package also includes the optional 3D tail light clusters with animated brake lights and integrated dynamic turn signals which indicate the direction with a flowing light movement.

Adaptive Cruise Control ACC
Adaptive Cruise Control ACC helps you to maintain a previously set maximum speed and preset minimum distance to the vehicle in front. It also has predictive cruise control and cornering assistance.

The optional Side Assist lane change system can alert you to dangerous lane changes. An LED lamp in the exterior mirror shows you when a vehicle is in your blind spot or approaching quickly from behind.

Sustainable and full of recycled materials
The interior of the new ID.3 contains numerous recycled and sustainable materials. For example, the headliner and floor mats are made of polyethersulfone (PES), a plastic made from recycled PET bottles. The seat covers or door trims are primarily made of recycled material. Like its predecessor, you can also enjoy a carbon-neutral delivery of your new ID.3.

Give your ID. personality. Choose from eight standard colours (30 colours are available as an option) and gently illuminate the interior. This includes the dash panel, the mobile phone holder and the doors. Whether cooler or warmer lighting – it’s your choice.

With the optional Travel Assist you have an extremely useful driving assistant on board. It can keep you in your lane, maintain a minimum distance to the vehicle in front and the maximum speed you have set.

If you no longer show any driving activity as a result of a medical emergency, the optional Emergency Assist can register this and attempt to reactivate you. If it is unsuccessful in doing so, it can bring the vehicle to a controlled stop within the system limits and can thus prevent an accident if necessary.
Can see what might come
The standard traffic hazard alert function supports the driver with useful information, including warnings about construction work or rescue vehicles. Car2X technology uses WiFi to communicate (pWLAN).
