General Information

The XPeng G9 is still one of the most impressive all-electric SUVs we’ve tried recently. It has plenty of space and oodles of in-car tech, is really well finished, and has the performance, range and charging speeds.

The G9 is well suited to urban routes. The steering is light and consistently weighted (though devoid of feel, you won’t be surprised to hear), and there’s decent visibility, assisted by a plethora of cameras whose images are relayed to the central screen to help eliminate blind spots. Performance editions get air suspension as standard and it does a good job of soothing out side-street ripples.

Battery and charging times
The G9 Long Range can travel up to 570 km on a full battery. So feel free to plan a long drive. The G9 can be charged from 10 to 80% in about 20 minutes at a fast charger, so you can always get back on the road quickly.

Two-chamber air suspension
The G9 AWD Performance uses a dual-chamber air suspension system for increased comfort. In the lowered position, the system can even increase the driving range of the G9.

Xpeng G9 dimensions are (L/W/H) 4891/1937/1680 mm and wheelbase 2998 mm. Thanks to 800V architecture, it enables 315 kW fast charging, capable of filling the battery from 10% – 80% in 20 minutes.

G9 offers five variants with 78.4 kWh and 98 kWh batteries, an RWD variant with 230 kW of power, and an AWD variant with 405 kW and a peak torque of 717 Nm. The previous 2022 version offered eight versions, and customers complained the lineup was too confusing.

The rounded design and high-quality finish create a comfortable and luxurious lounge environment.

The 3D multimedia system projects the real world onto the G9’s central touchscreen and provides instant feedback for the best driving experience. The G9 uses a Qualcomm Snapdragon 8155 chipset to power the Xmart OS on the digital dashboard and on the central touchscreen, which consists of two large 15-inch screens.

The G9 features our enhanced voice assistant that can understand and respond to complex commands from all four zones of the car, even without a network connection.

The optional sound ssytem uses 22 speakers with a total power of 2,150 watts. Thanks to two speakers at the front of the car, the G9 can also be useed as a boombox to listen to music ouside the car.

The best seats in the house
Both front seats have a memory that easily adapts to the preferences of different drivers and co-drivers. With the Premium Comfort & Audio Pack², both the front and rear seats are equipped with heating and a massage function.

Comprehensive Safety Features

XPENG G9’s body structure is composed of robust materials that include high-strength steel for enhanced protection during collisions. A cage-designed body structure enables efficient multi-path distribution of crash forces and shields passengers from the full force of the impact. The front of G9 is designed to absorb significant amounts of energy to further protect the driver and passengers during a collision; advanced flexing and tearing technology also helps with overall energy absorption throughout the vehicle.
